This role provides ongoing support and technical assistance to computer/voice over IP users within the district, resolves voice over IP and data issues and/or determines appropriate action/s for resolution. This role will also work to implement new programs and provide support to assigned administrator., 1. Conducts installation of all new hardware and software introduced into the educational environment ensure its compatibility with existing infrastructure, as well as its reliability and functionality in relation to the DOT plan and state educational requirements., 2. Coordinates District and site location requests for computer hardware and software support (e.g. new computer purchase/setup, printer malfunctions, software not working properly, etc.) for the purpose of providing timely response to the computer support needs of district employees. D 15% 3. Provides program instructions and basic user training to school/district site staff (remotely and in-person) on using their computer hardware and/or software to provide ongoing support and maximizing the capabilities of assigned staff. Determines the appropriate agency to provide needed guidance that is above and beyond the capabilities of Field Services D 15% 4. Analyzes operating problems to resolve issues ensuring proper functionality while adhering to proper industry and district standards. D 10% 5. Assesses telephone and written requests for assistance regarding network, computer hardware and/or software applications for the purpose of resolving problem situation and/or determining appropriate action/s for resolution. D 10% 6. Coordinates with Network Engineers, Information Systems Support Technicians, Service Desk Technicians, Multimedia Support Technicians, and similar agencies for the purpose of resolving server/network/Audio Visual/Data Integrity issues to ensure a timely resolution __ first line of physical contact with most issues and personnel. D 10% 7. Maintains inventory of Field Services equipment, licenses, and supplies (e.g. computers, peripherals, cords, cables, batteries, etc.) for the purpose of tracking district property and ensuring availability of required items Q 5% 8. Advises the Field Services Program Administrator on technology issues in the field for the purpose of making corrective proposals and providing advice on future technology needs for the District including life cycle recommendations for the purpose of assessing the viability of existing hardware/software D 5% 9. Transports tools, testing software/equipment, and computer systems/hardware to site locations for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required to diagnose malfunctions and/or ensure adequate supply of required end-user equipment D 5% 10. Composes documents (e.g. standardized correspondence, bulletins, etc.) for the purpose of documenting events, providing and/or requesting information including assisting in the development and revision of the DOT Procedures Manual for the purpose of ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date D 5% 11.
