While you won't be writing website code like HTML, CSS and Javascript, it is desirable you understand how these work together and what is possible. You should be confident using data and analytics tools to evaluate performance and make decisions based on what the data is telling us. You should have a good understanding of SEO, user experience (UX), and digital content best practice. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience managing or mentoring a team and working with external partners is also important. A good understanding of digital accessibility, data protection, and relevant regulations is essential, along with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, user-friendly digital experiences. Most importantly, you will be driven, user-focused and passionate about delivering high-quality digital experiences that make a real impact. SYSTEM AND TOOLS EXPERIENCE - Adobe Creative Suite - Google Analytics, Looker/Data Studio, Search - Console and Tag Manager - CRM and how data feeds into this from the website - CMS and how content is managed and developed here - Front-end website languages desirable ## Description We are looking for a Website and Digital Manager to lead the strategic development and performance of our corporate website (londonmet.ac.uk) and wider digital presence. This role sits within our Marketing and Communications team and plays a key part in helping us attract and engage prospective students. You will be responsible for ensuring our website delivers an excellent user experience, drives engagement and supports student recruitment. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing and the wider University, you will help bring our brand to life online through high-quality, user-focused digital content. In this role you will lead a small team and coordinate a network of contributors across the organisation. You will oversee the strategic development of the website, ensuring it remains up to date, effective and aligned with our wider goals. You will also play an important role in major recruitment campaigns, working with colleagues to deliver impactful digital activity throughout the year. A key part of the role is using data and insights to drive improvements. You will monitor website performance; identify opportunities to optimise content and user journeys; and report on results to less technical stakeholders. You will also lead on search engine optimisation (SEO) to increase visibility and organic traffic. You will act as the main point of contact for website support, helping colleagues publish effective content and providing guidance on best practice. This includes delivering training, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring all content meets requirements around accessibility, data protection, and quality. The role also involves leading digital projects from start to finish, managing timelines, budgets and external suppliers where needed. You will work closely with the IT Department and external agencies to deliver improvements and ensure the website continues to evolve with changing user needs and technology.
