## About the Role

To apply for our undergraduate placement scheme, you must be studying for an undergraduate degree that requires a placement year. Master's students are not eligible for this placement., * Working towards an IT or Business related degree.

 * General understanding of IT with a technical mindset.

 * Good customer service skills.

 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 * Able to take ownership of problems and proactively work towards resolution.

 * Flexible working approach, both independently and within a team.

 * Motivated and able to work under own initiative.

 * Demonstrable knowledge of IT disciplines.

## Description

We're looking for an undergraduate to join our IT team as an IT Services Undergraduate where you will gain practical experience in a forward-focused IT department and see how technology supports the wider business. You will rotate through service desk, application management and monitoring or specialist product activity, building hands-on problem-solving experience with systems, services and business users. If you want a hands-on IT service and application support placement where your work contributes to real business outcomes, we want to hear from you!
What will you be doing?

 * Provide first-line IT support to users, resolving issues quickly and escalating where needed.

 * Understand and apply IT methodologies, tools and processes.

 * Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into IT solutions.

 * Gain insight into application support for SAP, Web BI, local business applications and PowerCurve Collections.

 * Assist in resolving application incidents and service requests.

 * Monitor IT systems and applications using tools such as Splunk and AppInsights.

 * Set up and maintain dashboards showing system health, performance metrics and key indicators.

 * Detect anomalies, performance issues and security incidents through alerts.

 * Design dashboards and reports for operational and business needs.
