## About the Role

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance with the ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment.  - Knowledge of networking fundamentals
 - 1+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
 - Experience with a scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby or similar, 2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience
 - 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience
 - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration / Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef etc.
 - Experience in networking and troubleshooting

## Description

The Systems Engineer contributes to the design, implementation, and automation of complex Windows infrastructure solutions across multiple environments. This role supports the infrastructure automation, system architecture, and Windows environment management, focusing on developing automated solutions for managing large server fleet.

 - Provide technical support for Windows Server infrastructure systems and Active Directory services
 - Perform system maintenance, updates, and patch management for Windows environments
 - Develop and implement automation solutions for routine support processes using PowerShell and other scripting tools
 - Maintain accurate documentation of all support activities, and contribute to knowledge base and runbook development
 - Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability

Region Services provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions. We provide 'hands on keyboard' support to our service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed.
