## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional software development experience
 * 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and Redux (or equivalent front-end frameworks)
 * 1+ years in a leadership role, managing or mentoring engineering teams
 * Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
 * Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems
 * Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable front-end architectures
 * Prior startup experience is a plus
 * Excellent communication skills in English
 * California permanent resident status

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Front-End Engineer to join our expanding team at Surefront. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, is passionate about developing scalable and maintainable front-end solutions, and enjoys mentoring others. The Lead Front-End Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering leadership and product teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements. Initially remote, this position offers flexibility to work from anywhere, with a future transition to a flexible, California-based work environment once conditions permit. The ideal candidate will take ownership of key projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the technical direction of our front-end applications., * Engage with stakeholders to understand and review product requirements and translate them into technical solutions

 * Lead the development of the React/Redux single-page application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
 * Make architectural decisions, select appropriate design patterns, and choose front-end libraries to optimize development and maintainability
 * Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability
 * Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices within the team
 * Collaborate effectively with other engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features on time and to specification
 * Mentor less experienced engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team
 * Participate in hiring processes, interviewing candidates to build a strong engineering team
