## About the Role

* Strong IBM i / AS/400 background, including system administration, performance tuning, and security management.
 * Hands-on experience with RPG (RPG II, III, IV / ILE), CL programming, and related IBM i development tools.
 * Skilled in database design and maintenance on IBM i, including DB2, query tools, and data integrity practices.
 * Experience supporting ERP or similar business systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
 * Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document changes clearly.
 * Familiarity with integration techniques, data exchange, and batch/interactive processing on IBM i.
 * Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and user support.
 * Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting with cross-functional teams.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
 * Experience in apparel, retail, or manufacturing industries is a plus, as well as exposure to modernization efforts (APIs, web front-ends, or other integration technologies).
