This role sits where the decisions get made. You will advise senior government leadership on technical direction, translate industry and defense trends into executable strategy, and shape the target architecture the agency will operate on for the next decade. The work is consequential. Choices made in this seat determine how fast the agency adopts emerging capability, how well it protects its data, and how effectively its workforce performs the mission. We are looking for a leader who has done this before and who brings the wisdom that only comes from scar tissue., The candidate will: · We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert Systems Engineer to support a US GOVT agency in the Washington DC (NCR - National Capital Region) area. This role provides technical leadership across the agency IT enterprise, spanning systems engineering, network engineering, and cybersecurity, and applies recent, hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), post-quantum cryptography, and data analytics to modernize, secure, and harden the communications enterprise leadership.
