## About the Role

* Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering
 * Strong foundation in computer science with knowledge of data structures and distributed systems
 * Experience optimizing production systems and identifying performance issues
 * Familiarity with GraphQL schema design and API development
 * Proficient in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL
 * Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
 * Strong communication skills with experience documenting technical specifications

## Description

This role will focus on designing and scaling core backend services that power high-traffic transactional experiences in a fast-moving technology environment. You will partner closely with product, leadership, and engineering stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges, improve platform reliability, and deliver high-quality features from concept through implementation. The position also includes mentoring teammates, strengthening production performance, and helping shape technical decisions that support long-term scalability., * Design and optimize GraphQL APIs and gRPC services for sportsbook and casino systems

 * Own and resolve complex technical issues, drafting proposals for leadership
 * Deliver features in an agile/scrum environment, from design to implementation
 * Identify production bottlenecks and drive platform scalability improvements
 * Implement monitoring and alerting strategies using Datadog
 * Mentor team members through code reviews and technical guidance
 * Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
