Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Cloud Platform Engineer 2 (Developer Experience) - **Company:** Choice Hotels International, Inc. - **Location:** Scottsdale, AZ, United States (Remote available) - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Franchise - **Skills:** Agile Methodology, Bash Shell, Cloud Computing, Cloud Engineering, Software Quality, Cyber Security, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Programming Tools, Github, Revision Control Systems, Groovy, Python (Programming Language), Windows PowerShell, Cloud Services, Software Deployment, Software Engineering, AWS Cdk, Scripting, Cloud Platform System, Software Troubleshooting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git, Containerization, Gitlab-ci, Infrastructure Automation Frameworks, Information Technology, Bitbucket, Terraform, Software Version Control, Jenkins - **Published:** September 23, 2026 - **Apply:** https://choicehotels.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/Scottsdale-AZ---Technology--Digital-Commerce-Center/Cloud-Platform-Engineer-2--Developer-Experience-_R22424 ## About the Role * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required, or 2-3 years equivalent experience. * 2-3 years of software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or related technical experience. * Experience supporting enterprise developer tooling and cloud-based platforms. * Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar technologies. * Experience with Git-based source control systems, preferably Bitbucket. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK. * Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Bash, or PowerShell. * Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and modern application deployment practices. * Understanding of Agile software delivery, DevOps principles, and engineering best practices. * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. ## Description * Build, maintain, and enhance developer platform capabilities that improve software delivery speed, quality, and reliability. * Design and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) solutions using platforms such as Harness and Jenkins. * Support source control platforms, repository standards, and engineering workflows using Git and Bitbucket. * Develop automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native technologies. * Partner with software engineering teams to improve build, test, deployment, and release processes. * Implement and support software supply chain security, code quality, and developer governance controls. * Evaluate and operationalize new tools and technologies that improve developer productivity and platform capabilities. * Troubleshoot issues across development tooling, pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and platform services. * Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, documentation, and self-service capabilities. * Participate in operational support and on-call activities for critical developer platform services., Tech Savvy: Readily learns, evaluates, and adopts emerging technologies that improve engineering effectiveness. Collaborates: Builds strong partnerships across engineering and business teams to achieve shared objectives. Ensures Accountability: Takes ownership of commitments, follows through on deliverables, and consistently delivers quality results. Your Team This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering.
