## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience developing software with C++
 * Good understanding of software engineering and computing principles
 * Experience with development tools such as IDEs, debuggers and source control
 * Understanding of unit testing, mocking, CI/CD and/or TDD
 * Experience working with at least one additional language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, Perl or PowerShell
 * Experience working across multiple operating systems
 * An understanding of secure or high-assurance software development
 * Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
 * Previous experience mentoring engineers and/or leading technical tasks
 * Active SC Clearance

## Description

You'll be working as part of a highly technical team, contributing to the design, development and delivery of secure software solutions.

The role will involve:

 * Developing robust, high-assurance software using C++
 * Working across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and documentation
 * Applying secure development principles throughout the development process
 * Working with continuous integration, unit testing, mocking and other modern development practices
 * Conducting peer reviews and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team
 * Mentoring junior engineers and taking ownership of technical tasks
 * Identifying security risks and potential vulnerabilities during design and implementation
 * Working with emerging technologies and development tools where appropriate
