You will possess a strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, and configuration management with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, reliable software with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary engineering teams. ## Description Our client has been established for almost a century and are market leaders in the design and manufacture of bespoke rail solutions for supply across the globe, and as a result of continued success and exciting plans for the future, are now seeking to recruit an experienced and professional Software Engineer to join their software design and development team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, test and maintenance of software systems supporting locomotive products and associated equipment, and will contribute to new product development, system upgrades and ongoing technical support, ensuring software solutions meet functional, safety, and quality requirements and necessitating close collaboration with the electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
