Desired skills and competencies * AWS & cloud foundations: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM/security groups; plus awareness of serverless (API Gateway/Lambda/DynamoDB), containers (Docker/ECS), and monitoring (CloudWatch/Datadog). * Software engineering & languages: practical development experience in C# and JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular/Node.js), comfortable working across multiple languages, with solid Git-based workflows. * DevOps & delivery: understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines) and infrastructure automation/IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform or similar). * Windows & security fundamentals: Windows administration (AD, Group Policy, PowerShell, enterprise deployment/packaging awareness) and security best practices (SSO/SCIM, least privilege, encryption, network segmentation). ## Description As a Software Engineer in the Cloud UE (Unified Engineering) team, you will help design, build, and operate the services and streaming environments that deliver AVEVA's Unified Engineering products to customers as a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work across serverless APIs, identity and access flows, Windows-centric infrastructure, and desktop streaming technologies. You will contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure automation, champion security and compliance, and support service reliability and performance. As you gain experience, there may be an opportunity to join the team's on-call rotation in the future, with full mentoring and support. This is a role for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, proactive by nature, and excited by the opportunity to work across a broad and modern technology stack in a team that truly owns what it builds.
