Desirable Skills and Experience * Microsoft 365 administration and support. * Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). * Experience supporting networking infrastructure. * Experience supporting telephony and unified communications systems. * Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices. * Knowledge of server and virtualisation technologies. * Experience working within the public sector or local government. ## Description Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused ICT Technician to join our friendly and professional ICT team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ICT professional looking to develop their career across a broad range of technologies while supporting the delivery of high-quality services to Council staff and elected Members. As an ICT Technician, you will provide day-to-day technical support, assist with maintaining and improving the Council's ICT infrastructure, and support the delivery of technology projects. The role offers exposure to modern cloud technologies, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, telephony and digital transformation initiatives. Working as part of a small but highly skilled team, you will play a key role in ensuring the Council's technology services remain secure, reliable and responsive to customer needs., * Provide first and second-line technical support to users across the organisation. * Install, configure and support desktop PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripheral equipment. * Support Microsoft 365 services and associated applications. * Assist with the administration and maintenance of servers, storage, networking and communications systems. * Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues. * Support cyber security initiatives and ensure good security practices are maintained. * Assist with system upgrades, technology refresh programmes and ICT projects. * Maintain accurate records, documentation and asset information. * Liaise with suppliers, contractors and third-party support providers where required. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of ICT services and processes. Physical Requirements and Travel This role includes hands-on deployment, installation and support of ICT equipment across Council locations. Duties will involve setting up and moving desktop PCs, monitors, laptops, printers, telephony equipment and associated peripherals, together with assisting with office moves, technology refresh programmes and new system deployments. The post holder must be able to transport equipment between locations and will require a full UK driving licence.
