## About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Line IT Support Technician to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in IT within a supportive environment where training, learning, and progression are actively encouraged., * Degree in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

 * Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
 * Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
 * Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
 * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 * Genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn.
 * Strong organisational and time management skills.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

 * Experience using IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
 * Knowledge of hardware deployment and network cabling.
 * Understanding of backup and disaster recovery procedures.
 * Basic Linux operating system knowledge.
 * Exposure to cloud-based technologies.
 * Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware.
 * Previous experience within the automotive sector.

## Description

* Provide first-line technical support across a range of IT services, troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
 * Log, prioritise, and manage support requests through the IT ticketing system.
 * Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT team members when required.
 * Build, configure, repair, and deploy IT equipment including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
 * Install, maintain, and update operating systems and software applications.
 * Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, endpoint management, remote access technologies, and basic networking environments.
 * Manage user accounts, passwords, access permissions, MFA, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
 * Maintain internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
 * Assist with identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
 * Build positive working relationships with users at all levels of technical ability.
 * Participate in occasional Saturday morning support cover and out-of-hours work when required.
 * Travel to multiple sites across the UK as necessary.
