(Level 2) * Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC) * Broad knowledge of network accreditation, Platform IT (PIT) determinations, and Authority to Operate (ATO)documentation * U.S. citizenship and a current or active DoD Secret clearance (must be maintained throughout employment) Preferred Requirements * Hands-on experience with: Nessus/ACAS, Splunk, OpenRMF Professional, Evaluate STIG, STIG Viewer, RHEL/Linux, Ansible * Familiarity with eMASS for RMF package management * Experience performing STIG compliance for both Windows and Linux environments * Knowledge of DoDI 8500.01, NIST 800-53 security controls, and vulnerability management best practices * Previous Air Force or DoD cybersecurity experience, particularly in distributed mission operations or simulator environments * Relevant security certifications beyond IAT Level II, such as CISSP, CASP+, or CEH Physical Requirements * May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. ## Description HII Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer - ISSO to join our team supporting the Air Force's Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) program. In this role, you'll work alongside the Cybersecurity Team Lead and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to protect mission-critical systems through the effective application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring compliance with DoD policy, regulations, and best practices.You'll be hands-on with RMF deliverables, vulnerability scanning and remediation, system configuration validation, and collaboration with network and system engineers to maintain accreditation standards.This position is on-site only-no remote or hybrid options are available. Come support our work with the Air Force's Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) program and join a world class team of groundbreaking scientists and engineers!, Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Validates system security requirements definition and analysis. Establishes system security designs. Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities. Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
