## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
 * Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
 * Familiar with programming languages, software platforms, and environments
 * Familiar with standard system design principles, testing diagnosis, test procedures, data transfers, etc.
 * Understanding of databases, data formats (JASON, XSD, XML, etc.) and transformation techniques
 * Understanding of smart security practices as they relate to all phases of integration & test
 * Familiar with version control using GitLab
 * Good documentation and communication skills
 * Ability to work in a fluid, dynamic environment
 * Ability to continuously learn while influencing integration & test best practices
 * Able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
 * Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Skills

 * Familiar with programming languages of Python, Java, C++, etc.
 * Ability to manage integration projects which includes timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication
 * Understanding of APIs and their connectivity to software systems
 * Experience with comms systems/hardware especially legacy systems
 * Familiar with VITA 48 specification for embedded systems (ie. 3UVPX)
 * Familiar with networking of comms systems
 * Familiar with Docker containers, Kubernetes, Virtual Machines (VMs), etc.

## Description

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
