## About the Role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

 - 5+ years of professional software development experience in Python and/or C#/.NET Core.

 - 4+ years designing and operating cloud-native, serverless applications in AWS - not just deploying Lambdas, but owning the architecture of complex, multi-service workflows end to end.

 - Demonstrable experience building extremely complex distributed systems - you can walk us through the architectural decisions you made, why you made them, and what broke when you got it wrong.

 - 4+ years designing relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and schema design for high-throughput workloads.

 - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity as applied to real production systems.

 - Proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues through code profiling, distributed tracing, and systems-level analysis. - Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

 - Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/Fargate).

 - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer).

 - Experience with observability and performance monitoring tooling (CloudWatch, Datadog, X-Ray, distributed tracing).

## Description

Architect and implement serverless, event-driven services (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS) that process high-throughput workloads reliably and at scale.

 - Translate functional requirements into clean, efficient, testable backend code in Python (primary) and C#/.NET, with a strong bias toward Python-based serverless implementations.

 - Diagnose and resolve complex distributed-systems problems: race conditions, fan-out bottlenecks, cold-start latency, execution-plan regressions, and cross-service failure propagation.

 - Build and optimize RESTful APIs that serve high-concurrency workloads behind API Gateway.

 - Own performance and reliability of compute-intensive services - profile, benchmark, and optimize until the system meets SLA under peak load.

 - Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data stores (SQL Server, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) with attention to query performance, index strategy, and schema evolution.

 - Conduct code reviews with a focus on architecture, correctness, efficiency, and maintainability.

 - Write clear technical documentation in Confluence to explain complex system logic and operational runbooks to cross-functional teams.

 - Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product owners and peer squads to align technical solutions with platform needs.
