## About the Role

* High School Degree
 * Ability to complete tasks based on standard procedures.
 * Ability to handle multiple tasks and work cross-functionally
 * Basic Computer skills.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education and Experience

 * Associate's degree in Food Science or related field
 * SAP experience.
 * HACCP Certification., * Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
 * Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required.
 * Work is performed in a lab setting.
 * Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
 * Work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 60-80 degrees F.

## Description

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician supports the overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record/product review and inspections., * Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans.

 * Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs
 * Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs
 * Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures.
 * Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications
 * Conduct daily review of labels and retain product
 * Conduct real time review of production records
 * Conduct daily line inspections.
 * Conduct routine data entry and filing of paper work
 * All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures
 * All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
 * Other responsibilities as assigned by plant FSQA leadership.
 * Maintain company confidentiality.
