## About the Role

* 5-7+ years of full-time software engineering experience (looking for senior+ level of experience)
 * Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.)
 * Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
 * An ability to perform in a fast paced environment and deal with ambiguity
 * Startup or SaaS experience preferred
 * Experience with design systems, modern styling, and frontend testing practices a plus

## Description

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers our Engineering teams here in New York. These teams tackle a variety of technical challenges across the tech stack, from product engineering to runtime orchestration, with a heavy focus on our newest products like Merge Gateway. We are hiring for mid - to staff - level positions, with candidate evaluation based on a combination of relevant experience and performance in the interview process.

What you will do:

 * Participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions
 * Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code
 * Lead large projects from initial inception to production
 * Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators
 * Interact with customers to solve customer problems
 * Build a best in class developer experience for Merge's dashboard, docs, APIs and SDKs
