## About the Role

* Solid background in Java software engineering.
 * Demonstrable experience delivering solutions with Apache Camel (essential).
 * Comfortable working within Linux-based environments.
 * Exposure to container and cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is advantageous.
 * Experience using source control and automation tools, including GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
 * Self-motivated professional with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.

## Description

We're currently supporting a major enterprise client looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join a long-term programme focused on modern API and middleware solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on integration specialist with strong Java and Apache Camel expertise who enjoys building robust, enterprise-scale connectivity solutions in a collaborative DevOps environment.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Create and maintain integration services using Apache Camel and Java technologies.
 * Develop reliable and high-performing interfaces between business applications and platforms.
 * Apply integration best practices and messaging patterns across complex environments.
 * Design, develop, and enhance integration frameworks and reusable components.
 * Work within modern DevOps teams, contributing to automated deployment and delivery processes.
 * Partner with senior technical stakeholders while providing guidance and support to less experienced developers.
 * Help shape and improve the organisation's integration capabilities and technical roadmap.
