## About the Role

You will have experience providing first and second-line IT support, with strong knowledge of Windows, Android, Microsoft 365 and desktop technologies. You'll be a confident problem-solver with excellent communication skills, able to deliver outstanding customer support and explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
You will be highly organised and adaptable, and will be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on IT security, data protection and service quality. Experience with ITSM tools, Intune/Entra, mobile device management systems and ITIL practices is advantageous, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Relevant technical qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent, are desirable, as is ITIL v4 certification (or equivalent). Experience providing technical support within a fast-paced IT environment would also be advantageous.

## Description

As an IT Technical Support Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting City Building's desktop and end-user computing environment, ensuring systems, devices and software operate securely, efficiently and provide an excellent user experience.
You will provide frontline technical support, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and endpoint issues while helping to implement preventative solutions through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis. Working closely with IT colleagues, business teams and external suppliers, you will support endpoint deployment, configuration, patching, security and asset management activities, while maintaining accurate system documentation and ensuring compliance with organisational standards and policies.
You will utilise modern endpoint management and IT service management tools, contribute to procurement and vendor coordination processes, and deliver a high standard of customer service to users across the organisation. This role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills and the ability to manage changing priorities within a busy enterprise IT environment.
