## About the Role

* Background in Configuration Engineering, Configuration Management or CAD Design.
 * Experience working with engineering drawings, CAD data and technical documentation.
 * Understanding of PLM/PDM systems and engineering configuration control.
 * Comfortable working across engineering teams to gather, validate and organise technical information.

Defence experience is not essential. We're equally interested in individuals from commercial engineering environments.

## Description

Configuration Engineer - PLM Transformation | Remote Contract (Initial onboarding requires 4 days onsite - the rest remote)

£300 per day Inside IR35 | 6 Months | Remote

I'm working with an established UK engineering organisation supporting a major transformation of its engineering systems and processes.

They're implementing a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and need a Configuration Engineer to support the transition of engineering data, CAD designs and associated documentation into the new environment.

This is a hands-on role working closely with engineering and project teams to understand existing design information, ensure configuration accuracy and support the successful adoption of the new PLM system.

The role:

 * Work closely with engineers and project teams to understand existing CAD designs, engineering data and documentation.
 * Support the migration and configuration of engineering information into the new PLM system.
 * Ensure engineering data is accurate, structured and appropriately controlled.
 * Apply configuration management principles across engineering designs, documentation and product information.
 * Support the wider PLM transformation, helping establish effective processes and best practices.
