## About the Role

* 5+ years of backend engineering experience
 * Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails
 * Experience building and operating high-traffic, scalable production systems
 * Strong understanding of web fundamentals, backend architecture, and performance optimisation
 * Experience with monolithic architectures and/or scaling challenges
 * Proven ability to take ownership and make technical decisions independently
 * Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is highly desirable
 * Comfortable collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams
 * Strong communication skills in English
 * Actively uses AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar in development

 * Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, AI, and DevOps teams
 * Work in a fast-paced environment where engineers have significant autonomy
 * Use modern AI-powered development tools as part of your engineering workflow
