## About the Role

Job DescriptionSynapri are supporting an AV Technology organisation with hiring a Linux Engineer to join an established Engineering function.This role will work primarily with C++ running on Linux, helping to build, develop and integrate applications that interact directly with the company's hardware. It is suited to an engineer who enjoys working close to the operating system, Embedded devices and physical hardware.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain C++ applications running on Embedded Linux. Integrate software with Embedded devices and underlying hardware. Investigate and resolve software and device-level issues. Work closely with hardware and software engineers to develop and enhance products. Debug applications and troubleshoot issues directly on Embedded Linux devices. Contribute to the development, testing and deployment of software across the company's hardware platforms.Experience required: Strong commercial experience with C++. Hands-on experience developing software for
Linux-based Embedded devices. Understanding of Embedded Linux environments and low-level application development. Experience integrating software with physical hardware or Embedded devices. Good understanding of Linux processes, system resources and debugging. Comfortable working in a technically focused, hardware/software engineering environment.The role is a hybrid position with two days per week in Derbyshire office and this role does not offer sponsorship.
