## About the Role

· 2+ years' experience in a 3rd line IT support or senior role
· Strong knowledge of: Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, Windows Server (install, AD, DNS, DHCP) Networking (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs)
· Comfortable working on ladders, using drills, and managing cable runs
· Good communication skills and client-facing manner
· Able to follow project plans and take initiative on-site
· Full UK driving licence and transport
Desirable
· Experience in MSP environments
· Exposure to CCTV, access control, or VoIP systems
· Familiarity with Hyper-V or VMware
· PowerShell scripting experience
· Certifications: Microsoft (M365/Azure), CompTIA, Cisco

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Technician / IT Manager to join their team. This is a varied, hands-on role for an IT professional who is confident dealing with complex technical issues, supporting a 1st-3rd line helpdesk team and working directly with clients both remotely and on-site.
As a Senior IT Technician, you will be required to:
· Support and mentor members of the 1st-3rd line IT helpdesk team.
· Take ownership of escalated technical issues through to resolution.
· Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, networking and infrastructure issues.
· Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients.
· Install, configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID and Windows Server environments.
· Support and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
· Configure and troubleshoot networks, including routers, switches, firewalls and VLANs.
· Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, installations and other client projects.
· Attend client sites to carry out installations, fault finding, maintenance and project work.
· Follow project plans while being confident enough to use initiative and resolve issues on-site.
· Maintain accurate technical documentation and update client systems following completed work.
· Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical clients.
· Help identify recurring issues and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
· Work closely with the wider team to ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of support tickets.
· Assist with the installation of physical IT infrastructure, including equipment mounting, cable runs and associated hardware
