## About the Role

* A demonstrable background in IT hardware and software support
 * Strong hands-on engineer skills, including those related to deployment, rollout, installation and testing
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications
 * Familiarity with testing processes, prior to system launches and go-live
 * Ability to manage hardware assets, logging correctly within internal systems and managing them through the deployment lifecycle
 * Experience working with switches, routers and servers within a deployment/installation environment
 * Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (Home Office SC).

## Description

This is a varied role covering many key areas of support to a large deployment project and involves supporting both hardware and software systems, ensuring equipment is configured correctly, and performing testing before deployment to users or client environments.

You will play a key role in maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring systems are ready for operational use., * Install, configure, and maintain critical IT hardware

 * Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems and business software
 * Test and validate IT equipment before deployment to ensure reliability and performance
 * Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues reported by users
 * Assist with system upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance tasks
 * Document configurations, testing procedures, and support activities
 * Support the rollout of new hardware and software across the organisation
 * Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations
