We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a Service Desk, IT support or customer-facing technical support environment, who can provide effective, professional and customer-focused support to users.

## Description

As a Technology Support Technician, you will play an important role in helping colleagues and customers get the most from the technology they use across Northumbria University.

Working as part of our Technology Support Services team, you will provide first and second-line technical support, helping to resolve a wide range of technology queries and issues. You will work across different support channels and will have opportunities to use your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and initiative to provide an effective and customer-focused service.

This is a varied role where you will work with a broad range of technology, including desktop hardware, software, operating systems, audio-visual equipment and network connectivity. You will also have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge as technology and the University's needs evolve.

You will work closely with colleagues across Technology Support Services and the wider University, contributing to a collaborative team environment and sharing knowledge and good practice., We are a customer-focused team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and a willingness to help each other are important. You will work with colleagues across the University and have the opportunity to build your knowledge of a wide range of technologies and understand how they support the University's work.
