This role focuses on OS internals, middleware, driver frameworks, IPC, and high-performance, safety-oriented vehicle software platforms., * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. * 15+ years of embedded software experience, with strong emphasis on: o QNX Neutrino and/or Embedded Linux o OS internals, scheduling, memory management, IPC o Device drivers and BSP development * Excellent C/C++ skills; strong system-level debugging experience. * Deep understanding of real-time systems and multi-core architectures. * Strong experience with vehicle networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) at the OS and middleware level. * End-to-end experience with SDLC and V-model development. * Understanding of ASPICE and automotive software processes. * Ability to work onsite full-time. * Strong communication, leadership, and cross-team collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications * Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline. * Experience with centralized vehicle compute platforms, domain controllers, or HPC ECUs. * Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and automotive cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434). * Experience with ASIL decomposition and safety partitioning on QNX/Linux. * Scripting in Python, Shell, and experience with CI/CD, build systems, and test automation. * Familiarity with virtualization, containers, and middleware frameworks (e.g., DDS, SOME/IP). We are seeking a self-motivated and highly experienced software engineering expert who can provide the right technical direction and insights into product development and facilitate their implementation. Description * Provide hands-on technical leadership for debugging and resolving OS, middleware, and platform-level issues on QNX and Embedded Linux. * Conduct deep code and architecture reviews for kernel-space, driver-level, and user-space components with internal and supplier teams. * Lead cross-domain investigations involving OS, middleware, applications, networking, and hardware abstraction. * Provide architectural direction for real-time performance, reliability, safety, and scalability. * Collaborate with hardware, systems, electrical, and integration teams to ensure optimal platform performance and stability. * Guide platform-level performance analysis, fault isolation, and reliability improvements. * Drive platform innovation, including evaluation of new OS features, middleware, virtualization, and container technologies. * Define and promote best practices for OS design, validation, and production readiness. * Mentor senior engineers in OS internals, real-time systems, and embedded Linux/QNX development. * Influence vehicle compute and platform software roadmap aligned with business and product direction., * Provide real-time guidance and hands-on assistance to the local team in triaging and reproducing issues. * Perform efficient and effective in-person code and design reviews with in-house as well as supplier teams. * Provide directions on issue resolution, ensuring high-quality deliverables with no regression. * Work closely with the cross-functional teams to ensure well-defined requirements and strategies. * Steer cross-module discussions to quickly diagnose the issue trail and settle any ownership dispute between module owners. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, systems) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. * Drive innovation through research, prototyping, and evaluation of emerging technologies. * Establish and promote best practices in design, validation, and compliance with industry standards. * Mentor senior engineers and contribute to talent development across the software organization. * Influence long-term technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals. ##
