## About the Role

* Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance or higher.
 * At least 2 years experience working as a Technical Writer, preferably in a defense industry.
 * Bachelor's degree in English/Communications or a technical discipline, a Technical Writing Certificate, or demonstrated excellence in technical writing and communication.
 * Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to standard practices and conventions.
 * Must be able to work independently to gather technical data from Subject Matter Experts and develop comprehensive materials with strong focus on logical flow of material and clear, consistent language.
 * Demonstrated ability to write original materials.
 * Strong computer publishing skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

 * Highly skilled computer publishing skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Adobe Framemaker.
 * Experience using graphics software to develop or convert graphics for use in documentation.
 * Strong team mentality.
 * Familiarity with DoW technical manual requirements, and military products.
