## About the Role

* Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment and routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and VRF.
 * Experience with firewalls, VPNs, MPLS, ACLs, IPSec, and network security technologies.
 * Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet/FortiGate, or comparable enterprise networking platforms.
 * Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing, ports, and protocols.
 * Experience with network security, web filtering, proxy technologies, and HTTP/HTTPS inspection.
 * ITIL v3 Foundation certification required.
 * Professional-level certification such as CCNP Security, JNCIP-SEC, FCNSP, or equivalent experience preferred.

## Description

* Design, integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex LAN, BAN, and WAN network environments.
 * Support large-scale network engineering initiatives and daily engineering activities alongside Government technical leads.
 * Configure and troubleshoot routing technologies including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and VRF.
 * Implement network security technologies including MPLS, ACLs, IPSec, L2 VPNs, and firewalls.
 * Design and support multi-vendor network environments utilizing Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and other enterprise networking technologies.
 * Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate, Juniper Security Appliances, and enterprise firewall technologies.
 * Support DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, capacity management, traffic analysis, and network cutovers.
