Minimum five (5) years of progressive Microsoft 365 administration experience, in addition to degree/experience requirements stated above. * Demonstrated experience in service delivery and change management related to SharePoint Online. * Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Advanced experience with Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, retention labels, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, and Microsoft 365 admin centers. Experience administering or governing Power Automate and Power Apps, including environments, connectors, DLP policies, permissions, licensing considerations, and operational support. Strong knowledge of identity and access management, including privileged roles, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, enterprise applications, and security groups. Working knowledge of Intune to provide backup administrative support, plus experience supporting Azure computing, storage, networking, RBAC, and recovery activities. Strong PowerShell scripting, Microsoft 365 troubleshooting, automation, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. Demonstrated experience in Azure administration. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or related certification. Experience with SharePoint automation, Power Platform adoption, Microsoft Purview governance, tenant migrations, Teams governance, or Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives. Comfortable balancing strategic decision-making with hands-on implementation. ## Description The Microsoft 365 Administrator is responsible for mid-to-senior level administration, governance, automation, and support of the organization's Microsoft 365 environment. This candidate ensures Microsoft 365 services remain secure, reliable, well-governed, and aligned with business requirements. Additionally, this role works within the office to demonstrate effective use or prepare for changes as they occur. Key areas of focus include but are not limited to Microsoft SharePoint Online, Purview, Power Automate, Power Apps, identity administration, and Microsoft 365 operational support. This role will also serve as backup-level support for Intune and Azure-based services as needed. This position reports to the Director, IT & Security Essential Job Responsibilities Serve as the technical owner and escalation resource for Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, collaboration, automation, and Power Platform services. Administer Microsoft Purview capabilities, including retention labels, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, audit support, eDiscovery support, and information protection governance. Design and maintain sensitivity and retention labeling strategies for SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 Groups paying particular attention to data protection in the context of AI. Develop and support SharePoint Online automation for document management, approvals, site provisioning, lists, libraries, metadata, and operational workflows. Administer and govern Power Automate and Power Apps, including environments, connectors, DLP policies, permissions, maker support, lifecycle practices, and Microsoft 365 integrations. Manage Microsoft 365 tenant settings, users, groups, licenses, roles, permissions, privileged access, and delegated administration using least-privilege principles. Support Microsoft Entra ID administration, including MFA, Conditional Access, authentication methods, enterprise applications, external collaboration, and identity governance. Provide secondary support for Intune and Azure services, including endpoint administration assistance, Azure VM support, networking components, storage resources, RBAC assignments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and VM, disk, or snapshot restoration. Create automation, reporting, documentation, and runbooks using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, and approved management tools. Monitor and communicate pending technical and feature updates within the M365 ecosystem ensuring employees are forewarned and aware of new opportunities Engage with Texas RE employees to improve adoption and understanding of M365 resources and how they may benefit their work Provide oversight and periodic testing of SharePoint backup and recovery Ensures Purview, sensitivity labeling, retention labeling, Power Platform, and SharePoint automation practices are implemented consistently and improved over time.
