## About the Role

* Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
 * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline
 * Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
 * Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic and/or similar products
 * Active DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (ex: Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP, etc.)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

 * Master's Degree in Engineering or related field of study and 8+ years of experience
 * Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
 * Experience with STIGs/IAVA
 * A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
 * Has, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networking
 * Able to build systems from the ground up - network architecture/systems engineering

## Description

Parsons is seeking someone who is an IT "jack-of-all-trades" with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to be a key contributor to our team. What You'll Be Doing:

 * Set up and monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and products
 * Detect, investigate and respond to security threats
 * Configure and support virtual environments including AWS, VMware and Proxmox
 * Maintain various operating systems with a variety of users and activities
 * Apply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standards
 * Install, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networks
 * Test systems and resolve security vulnerabilities
 * Participate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditation
 * Work with ISSOs to determine appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentation
 * Interact with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOM
 * Help manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM's IT infrastructure
