* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field., * Transportation related experience preferred.
 * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
 * Proficient in AutoCAD, ORD, Civil 3D, or other engineering software packages.

 * Interest in transportation infrastructure design.

## Description

AECOM's Transportation Business Line is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to be based in Tampa, FL . The successful candidate will support the highway design teams in Florida by working with different disciplines to complete a variety of projects. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with a variety of exciting, challenging projects locally and worldwide.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

 * Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects for a variety of clients.
 * Assist with discrete work tasks required in preparation of roadway design set of plans.
 * Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
 * Carry out engineering analyses and prepare reports and technical specifications under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
 * Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
 * Collect and analyze data, perform field work, and undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
 * Attend site visits and meetings in clients' offices.
 * Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, and communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed.
 * Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level member.
