6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD * Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need * Minimum 3 years of experience with MBSE tools * Minimum 4 years of experience with Core Systems Engineering (Requirements, Architecture, Interfaces, or Verification) * Minimum 1 year experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORS, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML, SysML * Minimum 1 year experience interfacing with suppliers or government customers. * Minimum 1 year experience in requirement verification planning * Experience developing environmental qualification test plans and procedures for complex aerospace/defense systems * Experience overseeing environmental test setup and execution to ensure compliance with program requirements * Experience coordinating with internal and/or external test laboratories to define, set up, and oversee environmental test campaigns for electronic/mechanical hardware., * Preferred degrees include (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering). * 3 years of experience with ICBM Weapon Systems * 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering and any of the following areas: + Requirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees + Systems and end item requirements validation and verification + Design: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade Studies + General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines: Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental, Parts and Logistics, etc * Experience with CDRL development for customer review. * Experience executing System Milestone efforts such as: SRR, PDR, CDR, etc. * Active DoD Top Secret security clearance * Active SAP clearance * Familiarity with laboratory testing: Experience with climatic, vibration, mechanical/ pyroshock testing; understanding underlying principles, sensor placements and importance. ## Description Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures. * Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems. * Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications * Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis. * Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. * Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function. * Decompose parent level requirements into lower-level requirements as appropriate, based upon service life, use case, and CONOPS. * "Own" the environments for equipment; add derived environmental figures/tables when analyses are performed to the appropriate Environmental Criteria Document * Review internal and external vendor performance specifications and verification methodology * Support internal and external (vendor) Design Reviews * Supporting System Test engineers develop their test procedures to ensure correct requirements interpretation and verification * Review COTS to ensure meeting environmental requirements; identify deficiencies and recommend delta qual testing to verify compliance * Participating in Test Plan, Procedure, and Report peer reviews * Witness testing as the Cognizant Environments Engineer * Review Workmanship or Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) procedures;
