Your first major project will be rebuilding BHLG's current website on WordPress. You will work directly with our Marketing Director, who will provide direction on brand, content, marketing priorities, and user experience and partner with you on site architecture, SEO, and systems administration. You will turn those priorities into finished pages, working features, and a website that is easy to navigate and maintain. After launch, you will continue improving the website, creating campaign landing pages, publishing updates, and resolving technical and design issues. This position is in-house five days a week and based in our Eatontown, NJ office. What You Will Do Rebuild the BHLG website * Review the existing website and identify what needs to be rebuilt, improved, or migrated. * Design page layouts, wireframes, and mock-ups for review. * Develop the new site on WordPress using custom themes, templates, and reusable components. * Build an editing experience that allows marketing staff to update everyday content without writing code. * Migrate approved content, images, and resources from the existing site. * Test and launch the new website in collaboration with the Marketing Director. Design and build website pages * Create and update service pages, attorney profiles, articles, resource pages, and campaign landing pages. * Design clear navigation, page layouts, forms, and calls to action. * Maintain consistent typography, colors, spacing, imagery, and branding throughout the site. * Adapt layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. * Create or adapt website graphics, banners, icons, and other visual assets. * Prepare, resize, compress, and organize images and downloadable materials. * Apply accessibility best practices to design and development. Manage updates and improvements * Publish and format website content supplied by the marketing team. * Build and maintain contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, scheduling links, and relevant integrations. * Implement technical SEO updates in partnership with the Marketing Director, including headings, metadata, redirects, and internal links. * Set up and test analytics and conversion tracking. * Troubleshoot broken layouts, links, forms, and other website issues. * Improve page speed and test functionality across browsers and devices. * Maintain WordPress themes and plugins, coordinate backups, and test updates before release. * Keep website files, code, and documentation organized. * Recommend and implement practical improvements based on user behavior, feedback, and campaign needs., * Rebuilding an existing WordPress website or migrating away from Elementor. * Developing with WordPress's native block editor and creating reusable blocks or patterns. * Working on professional services or law firm websites. * Using Yoast SEO, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console. * Connecting websites with email marketing, CRM, scheduling, or other business tools. ## Related Videos - [The Resilience of the World Wide Web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1281-the-resilience-of-the-world-wide-web) - [Kill Your WordPress.
