This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who enjoys digging into challenging technical problems and seeing them through to resolution., * 5+ years of professional Windows Server and/or network engineering experience * Strong Windows Server administration and troubleshooting experience * Microsoft 365 experience * VMware virtualization experience * Hyper-V virtualization experience * Strong networking and troubleshooting knowledge * Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated ability to take ownership of technical problems through resolution Previous MSP experience is strongly preferred. Relevant certifications may include: * CompTIA Network+ * CompTIA Security+ * Cisco CCNA * Microsoft 365 * Windows Server * SonicWall SNSA * SonicWall SNSP * SonicWall SMAA Real-world technical experience and the ability to solve difficult problems are valued just as highly as certifications., * Bachelor's (Required), * Systems engineering: 4 years (Required) * Network engineering: 4 years (Required) * MSP Engineering : 4 years (Preferred) * Microsoft Windows Server: 4 years (Preferred) * VMware: 4 years (Required) * Hyper-V: 4 years (Preferred) * Sonicwall: 4 years (Preferred) * Azure: 4 years (Preferred) * Meraki: 4 years (Preferred) * Ubiquiti: 4 years (Preferred) ## Description Candidates must currently reside within approximately a 30-mile commuting radius of Cleveland, OH or Warren, OH. * Onsite position * Not a remote opportunity * Occasional travel to customer locations may be required * Visa sponsorship is not available for this position What You'll DoSenior Technical Escalations * Serve as a senior escalation point for complex systems, server, network, virtualization, and infrastructure issues * Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis * Take ownership of critical technical issues and drive them through complete resolution * Work directly with vendors and manufacturers when additional technical resources are required * Help improve the stability, security, and performance of client IT environments Windows Systems & Infrastructure * Design, implement, troubleshoot, and support Windows Server environments * Support and administer Microsoft 365 * Manage and troubleshoot VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments * Assist with cloud and infrastructure integrations * Support and improve business-critical IT infrastructure Networking * Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and connectivity issues * Support networking technologies including: * Cisco Meraki * SonicWall * Ubiquiti * Diagnose network performance and connectivity problems * Help design and implement network upgrades and improvements Project Engineering This position isn't just about responding to tickets.
