Overview: We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for tackling tough customer problems involving data to serve as a Knowledge Enablement Engineer, evaluating, piloting, and then scaling the capability that makes our data findable, trustworthy, and usable - by people and by AI agents. If you're passionate about large initiatives at a scale that helps transform the lives of internal and external stakeholders, this is that kind of work. Our Data Science team is building the knowledge layer between our data and the people and agents who use it: metric definitions, semantics, dictionaries, and the surfaces that make them discoverable. The role calls for a proactive, end-to-end contributor who can evaluate existing capabilities, stand up a working pilot rather than an assessment, and carry a clear recommendation into adoption. Responsibilities: * Evaluate existing tools and platforms across semantics, context, and knowledge graphs, and assess our requirements against them * Pilot the strongest option, determine how our existing semantic layer feeds into it, and deliver a working pilot with a clear recommendation * Onboard domains onto the approach we adopt, expanding content coverage as you go * Support alignment sessions so definitions are agreed before they are codified, and create playbooks so each domain onboards faster than the last * Author the AI rules, skills, and files that make the layer usable by people and agents, integrating through code or configuration as needed ## Related Videos - [Why Your AI Agent Keeps Hallucinating Your Data: Building Deterministic Context Layers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2055-why-your-ai-agent-keeps-hallucinating-your-data-building-deterministic-context-layers) - [Fault Tolerance and Consistency at Scale: Harnessing the Power of Distributed SQL Databases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1146-fault-tolerance-and-consistency-at-scale-harnessing-the-power-of-distributed-sql-databases) - [New AI-Centric SDLC: Rethinking Software Development with Knowledge Graphs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1417-new-ai-centric-sdlc-rethinking-software-development-with-knowledge-graphs) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [TiDB, One Layer at a Time: How Distributed SQL Became an Agentic AI Backbone](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100117-tidb-one-layer-at-a-time-how-distributed-sql-became-an-agentic-ai-backbone) - [Data Science in Retail](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/586-data-science-in-retail) ## Related Articles - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [MLOps And AI Driven Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/82-mlops-and-ai-driven-development) - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers)
