## About the Role

* Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
 * Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
 * 3+ years of experience with data acquisition systems and/or computer hardware interfaces
 * 3+ years of experience software architecture and design of embedded software systems
 * 3+ years of experience in hardware or software requirements, design/development, analysis, integration or testing/verification activities

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

 * Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
 * An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance in the past 24 months
 * 3 or more years of experience with instrumentation electrical design
 * Understand operating systems hardware/driver interfaces with ability to troubleshoot hardware/driver compatibility problems within the current and prior Windows Systems
 * Ability to deconstruct and interpret existing software code and ability to edit and transform it to modern standards while maintaining functionality
 * Troubleshooting and interpreting experience with C/C++, C#/.NET and Windows operating systems
 * Experience working in a Test Environment (Aircraft, Flight Line, Laboratory)
 * Experience with instrumentation and data systems, This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee., Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required, This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

## Description

* Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
 * Develops documents and maintains architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
 * Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
 * Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
 * Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
 * Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
 * Understands operating systems hardware/driver interfaces
 * Troubleshoots hardware/driver compatibility problems with the current and prior Windows systems
 * Interprets existing software code and transform it to modern standards while maintaining functionality
 * Works under general direction
