## About the Role

* Strong COBOL development experience in a mainframe environment - most critical skill.
 * Strong understanding of and extensive hands-on experience with VSAM.
 * Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy, highly customized mainframe applications.
 * Solid understanding of JCL for batch processing.
 * Experience with Endevor and other core mainframe technologies.
 * Experience working in an Agile environment.
 * Solid coding foundation with the ability to learn and adapt within complex legacy systems.

## Description

As a Mainframe Cobol Programmer, you will:

 * Support and maintain the Data Distributor, NOVA, and SD applications within the Core Deposits team.
 * Modify existing COBOL programs to meet product and business requirements, including enhancements, fixes, and regulatory updates.
 * Validate and distribute data to Hogan IDS, including nightly batch processing.
 * Develop and maintain JCL for batch jobs and production workflows.
 * Perform testing, validation, and production deployments following change processes.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product and business partners.
 * Support production issues and contribute to overall application stability.
 * Mentor and help train junior engineers on Hogan and mainframe best practices.
