This role requires a technically strong developer with experience building scalable Python applications, automation solutions, and data pipelines within a regulated financial services environment. Experience within Life & Pensions, Insurance, Investments, or Wealth Management is highly desirable., * Strong commercial experience developing applications in Python.

 * Experience with:
 + Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
 + API development and integration.
 + SQL and relational databases.
 + Data modelling and ETL development.
 + Git version control and CI/CD practices.
 * Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Experience developing automated reporting and data processing solutions.
 * Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join a leading Life & Pensions organisation on a major transformation programme. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, actuarial teams, operations, risk, and technology functions to design, develop, and enhance data-driven solutions that support regulatory reporting, operational efficiency, and business decision-making., * Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.

 * Build and optimise data pipelines for processing large volumes of policy, customer, investment, and operational data.
 * Develop automation solutions to replace manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
 * Create APIs and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
 * Support reporting and analytics capabilities across Life & Pensions operations.
 * Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
 * Develop reusable components and frameworks to support future development activities.
 * Enhance data quality, controls, monitoring, and exception management processes.
 * Collaborate with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with organisational standards.
 * Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
