* Strong commercial Kotlin or JVM-based engineering experience, with willingness to work with Kotlin
 * Ability to write simple, clean code
 * Experience and understanding of databases; relational databases are a must, and NoSQL would be nice too
 * Ability to quickly understand complex financial business domains
 * Ability to understand different software architectures rapidly
 * Understanding of abstraction and interpolation
 * Ability to write comprehensive automated tests at all levels of the pyramid
 * Understanding of the Kanban agile methodology is preferred, but not essential
 * Ability to get along with others and build relationships
 * Willingness to continually learn, improve, and collaborate
 * Ability to solve problems independently and know when to ask peers for help
 * Rational thinking and awareness of the reasons behind work approaches
 * Pragmatic mindset with the ability to weigh trade-offs between code quality and delivery
