## About the Role

* Strong experience using SolidWorks (Essential)
 * HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering
 * Experience designing mechanical components, machinery or fabricated assemblies
 * Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly
 * Ability to produce accurate engineering drawings and BOMs
 * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
 * Excellent communication and teamwork skills

## Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the full design lifecycle, working closely with production, procurement and other engineering functions to deliver high-quality engineering solutions., * Developing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks

 * Designing bespoke mechanical equipment and fabricated assemblies
 * Producing detailed BOMs and engineering documentation
 * Supporting projects from concept design through to production release
 * Liaising with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
 * Assisting with product improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
 * Supporting prototype builds, testing and product development activities
