Experience with Salesforce is preferred. * Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with program staff. * Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information. * Ability and willingness to travel locally to employer locations, hiring events, job fairs, and community meetings as needed., * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Associate or bachelor's degree in workforce development, business, human services, education, communications, or a related field preferred. * Experience in workforce development, recruiting, staffing, employment services, case management, sales, employer relations, or a related field preferred. * Experience preparing resumes, assisting job seekers, or providing employment-readiness services preferred. * Experience working with workforce training programs, nonprofit organizations, or individuals facing barriers to employment is preferred. * A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. ## Description The Job Developer / Employment Placement Specialist is responsible for helping CLC, Inc. students and graduates transition from training into meaningful employment. This position develops and maintains relationships with employers, identifies employment opportunities that align with CLC training programs, prepares participants for the hiring process, develops professional resumes for students and graduates, and provides follow-up support to promote successful job placement and retention. The Job Developer works closely with students, instructors, case managers, program staff, and employers to connect qualified candidates with employment opportunities in industries served by CLC, including welding, CNC machining, aerospace and advanced manufacturing, logistics, construction and building trades, and other workforce training programs., * Develop and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, staffing agencies, contractors, and other organizations that may provide employment opportunities for CLC students and graduates. * Identify job openings that align with participants' training, certifications, experience, interests, transportation, and employment goals. * Refer qualified students and graduates to employers and actively assist with the placement process. * Maintain regular communication with participants who are approaching graduation and those actively seeking employment. * Meet individually with participants to discuss employment goals, job-search strategies, barriers to employment, and available opportunities. * Create, update, review, and professionally format resumes for CLC students and graduates, ensuring resumes accurately reflect each participant's training, certifications, skills, work history, and qualifications. * Work with participants to gather employment history, education, certifications, technical skills, and other information necessary to develop effective resumes. * Assist participants with job applications, interviewing skills, employer communication, online job searches, and other job-readiness activities. * Conduct employer outreach through telephone calls, email, site visits, networking events, job fairs, and other community or industry activities. * Coordinate employer interviews, hiring events, job fairs, recruiting visits, and other employment-related activities. * Develop an understanding of employer hiring requirements and communicate those expectations to participants and CLC staff. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of employer contacts, job leads, referrals, interviews, placements, wages, employment start dates, and follow-up activities. * Enter and maintain placement and employment information in Salesforce and other required CLC systems. * Obtain employment verification and other documentation required by CLC programs, grants, funding sources, or regulatory agencies. * Conduct follow-up with participants and employers after placement to verify employment, address concerns, and support job retention. * Work with case managers, instructors, and other staff to identify participants who are ready for employment and address barriers that may affect placement. * Participate in staff meetings and provide updates regarding job leads, employer relationships, participant placement activity, and employment outcomes. * Assist with employment-related reporting and documentation for grants, contracts, workforce programs, and organizational performance measures. * Maintain awareness of local labor-market conditions, employer needs, industry trends, wages, and hiring practices. * Represent CLC professionally with employers, workforce partners, community organizations, and the public. * Protect confidential participant and employer information and follow all CLC policies regarding privacy and recordkeeping. * Perform other related duties as assigned., Some local travel and participation in employer meetings, recruiting events, job fairs, or other activities outside the primary work location will be required. ## Related Videos -
