The OPAL Mapping System is a 3D mapping and navigation system designed to support cardiac electrophysiology procedures. It provides real-time visualization of intracardiac catheters and displays 3D cardiac maps in selected formats during minimally invasive procedures to assist physicians in identifying the origin of arrhythmias within the heart chamber. As a physician probes the heart with a catheter, the system generates an accurate anatomical model of the chamber. High-performance rendering and algorithmic techniques are vital to creating a detailed view and providing physicians with immediate feedback. The Software Test Engineer III will join a highly effective product quality team in Waltham, Massachusetts, working alongside developers in an Agile environment. This role will develop and execute test cases for a wide range of software components, including user interfaces and algorithms. Responsibilities include writing and updating test cases, manually executing tests and interacting with a variety of electronic equipment in the lab. In addition to manual testing, the Software Test Engineer will contribute to test automation, requiring coding skills in Python or other programming languages within a Linux environment. Our tools include Jira, Jama, Jenkins and Squish., * Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure product quality, verify system functionality and confirm that business and user requirements are met within the electrophysiology domain. * Manually execute tests and run automated test scripts. * Create and execute automated test scripts. * Debug and resolve issues within automated test scripts and their verification points. * Debug and resolve issues related to the automation framework. * Execute automation runs to test Jira items and coordinate testing activities across multiple Scrum teams. * Ensure tests are conducted in accordance with written procedures. * Document test results and prepare test reports. * Diagnose problems and report defects and enhancement opportunities in the bug-tracking system. * Share knowledge and demonstrate product areas to other team members on an ad hoc basis. * Assist in determining test methodology, test strategy and test data setup. * Participate in daily Scrum meetings, product review meetings, bug triage meetings and other team activities. * Collaborate closely with software development, hardware engineering, field support and other cross-functional teams.
