Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. ## Description This position serves as the senior technical lead for Windows Endpoint engineering, automation, security, and lifecycle management within Academic Technologies. The role is responsible for the architecture, deployment, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of Windows endpoint systems serving faculty, staff, student, classroom, laboratory, and research computing environments. The position currently supports approximately 3,300 managed Windows endpoints and is responsible for expanding management and security oversight into currently unmanaged systems. As a secondary responsibility, the position provides administration, support, and lifecycle management of Unix/Linux endpoint systems used for research, scientific instrumentation, specialized academic computing, and laboratory operations. This position functions as a subject matter expert for endpoint technologies and is responsible for solving complex procedural, operational, and technical challenges. The position collaborates with university and system IT staff, researchers, faculty, departmental staff, and vendors to ensure endpoint services are secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with university objectives.
