experience with Python, Ruby, or scripting against modeling tools is a plus * Experience with large commercial and multi-family buildings preferred but not necessary * EIT, BEMP, CEM, or LEED AP BD+C credential preferred (or willingness to obtain) * Travel throughout the United States as required by project workload Personal Qualifications * Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills * Passionate about mitigating climate change * Collaborative and a strong team player * Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Enthusiasm to learn and grow as a professional Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization ## Description * Perform Whole-Building Energy Modeling: Develop baseline and proposed energy models in eQUEST, OpenStudio/EnergyPlus, IES-VE, Trane TRACE 3D Plus, or Carrier HAP for new construction, major renovation, and retrofit projects. * Drawing and Specification Review: Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and envelope documents to identify model inputs, including geometry, constructions, occupancy, lighting, plug loads, HVAC systems, and operating schedules. * Code Compliance and Certification Modeling: Produce ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G performance-path models, IECC compliance models, and certification submissions for LEED EAp2/EAc1, ENERGY STAR, Passive House, and similar programs. * Support Local Decarbonization Compliance: Develop models supporting compliance with local laws and stretch codes (e.g., NYC Local Law 97, Title 24, Boston BERDO, Washington Clean Buildings Act). * Parametric and Design Optimization Studies: Run parametric analyses on envelope, HVAC systems, controls, and renewable energy options;
