## About the Role

* Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
 * Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
 * Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).
 * Proficient in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).
 * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
 * Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
 * Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

 * 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred).
 * Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
 * Knowledge of AGILE software development methodologies.
 * Relevant experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, etc.) is a plus.

Education:

 * Bachelor's degree in a related field; or
 * Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or
 * High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

 * A current TS/SCI + CI Poly U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
 * Must have DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ certification).
 * Must hold a Computing Environment certification (AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, etc.).
 * Must be able to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir, VA, 5 days a week.

Preferred Requirements:

 * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
 * Familiarity with big data solutions such as ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

## Description

* Support the development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS.
 * Automate deployment processes and ensure the reliability and scalability of services.
 * Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
 * Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.
 * Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, resolving issues as necessary.
 * Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
 * Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, exploring innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.
 * Perform other duties as assigned.
