* Several years of implementing and maintaining ICT end systems inside a large organisation
 * Confidence configuring hardware and software, and the independence to solve a problem alone
 * Troubleshooting under pressure with users waiting, and the patience that goes with it
 * Useful extras: networking (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, firewall, DNS), server hosting and storage configuration, log analysis, packet capture, some scripting or development
 * ITIL training, and professional English

## Description

* Installing, configuring and removing hardware and software, testing what you have done and recording what now exists
 * Watching operational systems for load and failure, tuning them, and taking new versions of system software through test into service
 * Carrying out network maintenance and configuration work, and diagnosing faults with a proper method and proper tools
 * Taking second-line tickets to resolution against agreed response targets, including your share of the immediate on-call rota
 * Helping with the design, test and on-site support of engineering changes to the service, on top of day-to-day operations
