Produce reports, parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works. Maintain accurate plant logs, maintenance records and CAFM updates. Operate permit-to-work systems and ensure compliance with risk assessments and safe systems of work. Support emergency and contingency planning and participate in the on-call rota. Assist with plant investigations, asset validation and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. The Successful Mechanical Lead will have: NVQ Level 2 or above in Mechanical Engineering Services or equivalent. Around 5 to 10 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, plant and equipment. Experience leading engineers or supervising contractors on-site. Competent Person Mechanical and Pressure Systems (CPMPS) certification. Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Experience planning and overseeing plant isolations and shutdowns. A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe working practices. The ability to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance.
