## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
 * Formal architecture training or certification and 5+ years of applied architecture experience, typically supported by 10+ years of overall technology experience.
 * Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, integration, testing, deployment, and operational stability for enterprise applications.
 * Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in one or more disciplines such as cloud, AI/ML, data, integration, mobile, or distributed systems.
 * Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions for scalability, resiliency, security, performance, maintainability, auditability, and long-term sustainability.
 * Proven architecture leadership across complex transformations involving multiple business units, technology teams, vendors, platforms, and control functions.
 * Demonstrated ability to work with Business, Fraud, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Security stakeholders; resolve competing priorities; and gain agreement on strategic solutions.
 * Ability to evaluate tactical and strategic alternatives, communicate objective trade-offs, and influence future-state technology direction across teams, governance forums, and senior stakeholders.
 * Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI in architecture or engineering workflows and integrating AI-enabled capabilities with appropriate validation, data protection, resiliency, governance, human oversight, and auditability.
 * Strong judgment, independent problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
 * Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder, highly regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

 * Experience with architecture frameworks and modeling standards such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, BIAN, or equivalent, plus architecture modeling tools such as iServer.
 * Experience leading Architecture Review Boards, technical design reviews, Architecture Alignment Councils, or architecture communities of practice.
 * Experience with cloud, AI/data platforms, microservices, distributed and event-driven systems, SaaS, platform architectures, and enterprise modernization.
 * Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, observability, automation, and modern SDLC practices.
 * Experience evaluating third-party platforms and SaaS solutions and driving enterprise initiatives that improve reuse, governance, efficiency, delivery predictability, and engineering excellence.
 * Experience in regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services, including operational resilience, cybersecurity, privacy, third-party risk, audit, fraud, or financial crime considerations.
 * Contact Center migration / modernization using AWC connect is a plus., Strategic and hands-on; modernization and simplification focused; objective and outcomes oriented; able to influence without authority; comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities; and trusted to bridge business intent, regulatory obligations, architecture strategy, and technology execution.

## Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Lead Solution Architect to lead end-to-end architecture across complex enterprise transformation initiatives. The role guides Solution Architects, defines future-state direction, governs solution quality, and ensures business objectives are translated into secure, scalable, resilient, compliant, and operationally sustainable solutions.
The role also provides Solution Architecture program leadership, partnering with Business, Product, Fraud, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security, Operations, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Delivery, and vendor stakeholders. It builds understanding of solution options, objectively communicates trade-offs, and secures buy-in for strategic solutions aligned with long-term organizational goals, including when stakeholders initially favor a more tactical solution or vendor., Architecture Leadership & Strategy

 * Own end-to-end Solution Architecture across assigned programs, domains, capabilities, and cross-workstream initiatives.
 * Lead, coordinate, and mentor Solution Architects; establish consistent standards, patterns, practices, and quality expectations.
 * Define business capability, current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures and practical modernization roadmaps.
 * Translate business objectives into enterprise-grade solutions spanning application, integration, data, cloud, infrastructure, security, AI, and operations.
 * Ensure designs address scalability, resiliency, performance, security, privacy, observability, maintainability, and operational stability.

Strategic Stakeholder Alignment & Influence

 * Partner with Business, Product, Fraud, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security, Operations, Finance, Technology, and vendor stakeholders to understand objectives, constraints, obligations, and decision criteria.
 * Explain solution benefits, risks, dependencies, costs, and trade-offs in clear business language for executive and non-technical audiences.
 * Facilitate option assessments and alignment workshops that distinguish strategic target-state solutions from short-term tactical alternatives.
 * Build consensus and secure buy-in for solutions aligned with enterprise strategy, control requirements, capability roadmaps, and sustainable operating models.
 * Respectfully challenge proposed products or vendors when they may increase technical debt, duplication, risk, operational complexity, or future constraints; influence without authority while maintaining trusted relationships.

Architecture Governance & Quality

 * Run Solution Architecture document quality reviews and chair or facilitate architecture governance, alignment, and cross-workstream forums.
 * Lead architecture reviews and secure approvals through applicable technical design and Architecture Review Boards.
 * Produce and maintain high-quality artifacts, including Solution Architecture Documents, capability maps, architecture views, integration/data flows, sequence diagrams, and Architecture Decision Records.
 * Ensure alignment with Enterprise, Security, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, privacy, resiliency, and technology standards.
 * Maintain transparent records of decisions, assumptions, risks, issues, dependencies, exceptions, owners, and actions.

Solution Evaluation, Modernization & Emerging Technology

 * Evaluate current and emerging technologies; lead vendor assessments, option analyses, proofs of concept, and build-versus-buy decisions.
 * Assess strategic fit, capability alignment, integration, security, compliance, data ownership, resiliency, scalability, operability, portability, total cost, and roadmap alignment.
 * Develop modernization, migration, coexistence, decommissioning, and platform-consolidation strategies while promoting reuse and reducing technical debt.
 * Design and govern API-first, microservices, event-driven, messaging, real-time, near-real-time, batch, distributed, and cloud-native solutions.
 * Evaluate appropriate use of AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, workflow, business rules, document intelligence, process mining, and automation.
 * Ensure AI-enabled solutions use enterprise-authorized capabilities and meet data sensitivity, validation, security, privacy, resiliency, human oversight, traceability, and auditability expectations.

Delivery Enablement & Practice Leadership

 * Review detailed designs, integrations, implementation decisions, and non-functional requirements.
 * Identify and manage cross-domain dependencies, architecture risks, design gaps, and delivery blockers; validate implementation against approved architecture.
 * Participate in portfolio, program increment, and release planning to ensure architecture readiness and delivery predictability.
 * Mentor architecture and engineering leaders and drive reuse, consistency, simplification, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence.
